The position of Librarian (Adult Services) is responsible for work in reference, public service, programming, cataloging, material acquisition, and technical services. Must have experience in all phases of the public library services. Successful applicants should possess a Master’s Degree in Library Science from an accredited library college or university with at least 2 years of recent professional public library experience. Position is full time with a $26.35/hr starting rate with excellent benefits.

Elm Grove Public Library
The Elm Grove Public Library is accepting applications for a Technical Services Librarian. Responsibilities include cataloging and classifying all adult book and audiovisual materials; maintaining an accurate database of library holdings; and overseeing the processing of materials prior to cataloging. This position will also be responsible for some collection development; providing reference and interlibrary loan service, computer-related assistance, and readers’ advisory services to patrons.
Starting wage of $18.00 per hour includes prorated holiday and vacation pay, retirement benefits, and optional participation in a 457 plan. This 28 hours per week position includes rotating Saturdays. Job will begin in December 2014, or as soon as position is filled.
