Reference Library Loan Procedures
WCFLS reference staff submit enhanced reference requests to the Wisconsin Reference & Loan Library after the request has been worked on locally.
When a member library submits an enhanced reference question to either the reference staff at Waukesha Public Library or to the WCFLS reference librarian, the question is worked on by both parties. If an answer cannot be located, the WCFLS librarian will communicate this to the librarian who submitted the question. The WCFLS librarian will share her opinion as to whether the next logical step would be to submit the question to Reference & Loan librarians for further research. If the customer wants to pursue an answer to their query through Reference & Loan, the library submitting the question will be asked to send it as a Referred Request.
