Reference Question Guidelines
1. Write Up Reference Question
Write up your reference question on a WCFLS Reference Request form. The form is available at www.wcfls.lib.wi.us/forstaff/ref/reform.pdf.
Please provide as much information as you can about the question. If your patron requests what seems to be a vague piece of information or a large amount of data, work with them to determine exactly what they need.
If in a hurry, please do not just state "Rush Request" or "In a Hurry." Please put a specific date by which the information is needed.
2. Send to Waukesha Public Library
Fax to WPL's Reference Department at 262-650-2502. Telephone WPL's Reference Department at 262-524-3682.
Van to WPL's Reference Department.
The reference staff at Waukesha Public Library will forward to WCFLS any reference questions requiring additional research.
3. Submit your reference request directly to WCFLS if you feel this would be the fastest way to get an answer.
